Biography

Dr. Karthik Velmurugan is a highly qualified Consultant Surgical Oncologist with advanced training from India’s premier cancer institutes. He completed his MCh in Surgical Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, one of the country’s most renowned comprehensive cancer centres. He earned his MBBS from PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (PSGIMSR), Coimbatore, under The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, followed by an MS in General Surgery from Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal. During his MCh training, he secured third place overall in the university final exit examinations, reflecting strong academic excellence. Dr. Karthik has served as Assistant Professor in Surgical Oncology at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, and Adyar Cancer Institute, Chennai, gaining valuable experience in the surgical management of complex cancer cases and contributing to teaching and academic activities. Fluent in English, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi, he is known for his patient-centric approach, precise surgical skills, and commitment to evidence-based cancer care.
